Halloween - All Hallows Eve - The Day of The Dead - Satan's Day -
Whatever you call it or whatever your plans, have a great time.
Personally, it's one of those holidays that I don't get that excited about. When you have small children it's fun to dress them up and spend the evening together either Trick-or-Treating or passing out candy. Once they get older they just want to go to a party their friend is throwing.
The world these days has gone nuts as well. You have to be sure your kids aren't out by themselves or someone will snatch them; and you have to check their candy because crazy freaks have started putting poison, drugs, razor blades and nails inside the candy; and the costumes prices have just become ridiculous - all 4 of us can go out to a nice dinner for the cost of 2 costumes. Spend $50 on candy to pass out and $50 on 2 costumes....I'd rather have dinner out with a nice bottle of red for that cost LOL
Nope - just not as much fun as it used to be. Numerous years ago we started a new tradition. We watch Halloween movies at home Halloween night and then the day after Halloween we go to the store and get the kinds of candy we prefer ON SALE!!! $10 gets you quite a good little booty of candy.
